This was the bride's bouquet for the wedding my little miss was in this weekend. It was the first time I've ever made a bouquet! Whew! What a project. I am proud to be able to add this to my resumé. The nice thing was that the bride and groom liked it. That was my goal. It even {almost} made it through the tossing of the bouquet!

Embroidery!

Until now I never thought embroidery was something I could do. But I worked hard, using a little pamphlet on embroidery I got from a friend a few years ago. I tried a few stitches I've never done before-- the herringbone stitch, the chain stitch and also the fly stitch. Fun!

It was my mom's birthday. I needed something to give her! Will she use it the way it is intended?  (Or just keep it as a pretty thing?!)
